Laborist with Maternal Fetal Medicine
Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, one of the finest schools in the country, is seeking a vibrant and highly-motivated team member for the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The OB/GYN department at Washington University is nationally recognized with extensive clinical and basic science research opportunities.
Approximately 4,000 deliveries were performed last year at Barnes Jewish Hospital, the main teaching facility at Washington University. We have a state of the art prenatal diagnosis facility that performs over 16,000 ultrasounds a year and is staffed by 14 sonographers. We also host a database that includes over 100,000 ultrasounds, providing abundant opportunities for clinical research. Pediatric and neonatal care is provided by the Saint Louis Children’s Hospital, one of the top children’s hospitals in the country.
The inpatient obstetric service is staffed by the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division, which includes 2 laborists and12 MFM attendings to which we are looking to add another laborist. We also have 7 MFM fellows and 36 OB/GYN residents, who work with us closely in delivering comprehensive and team-base care. We see patients in our outpatient offices, The Women’s Health Center, on the medical school campus and at The Center for Women’s Wellness, at our other partner hospital, Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
Responsibilities of this position include comprehensive intrapartum care, including labor management and deliveries, post-partum management and antepartum assessment. We are seeking an experienced Ob/Gyn physician to join our team. The candidate should possess excellent clinical and teaching skills, and feel comfortable practicing in an evidence-based academic environment with students, residents, fellows and colleagues
The candidate should possess excellent clinical and teaching skills. Board eligible or certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
