Residency Clinic Director

The Internal Medicine residency at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital is seeking an outstanding primary care clinician, teacher and leader for the position of Associate Program Director with primary responsibility for training in the outpatient setting. This Associate Program Director will be the Medical Director for a large clinic, in a residency with 161 residents. The clinic is a beautiful space occupying 16,000 square feet of space, with 40 examination rooms, and supported by social work, pharmacists, nutritionist, diabetic educator, and other resources for a rich educational experience for residents. The position is also supported by a Clinic Manager and Assistant Manager, Chief Resident and direct staff support for the Medical Director. The Department of Medicine and Division of Medical Education, which oversees the residency, is committed to outstanding ambulatory training, primary care and the career of medical educators. Requisite experience includes experience in Internal Medicine residency outpatient clinics, leadership in an academic setting, and ABIM certification in internal medicine.
