The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, MO is seeking to add a full-time, fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologist to our MSK section, which is currently composed of 7 university faculty members. The section interprets all diagnostic imaging modalities (radiography, CT, MR, ultrasound, and arthrographic studies) for a large group of referring university-based and subspecialized private orthopedists, rheumatologists, and other practitioners, encompassing a wide variety of traumatic, infectious, inflammatory, congenital, neoplastic, and sports-related conditions. In addition, a busy interventional service performs diagnostic and therapeutic pain interventions in the spine and joints, and has built a cutting-edge practice in adult and childhood percutaneous tumor biopsy and ablation. The section enjoys exceptional interdisciplinary relationships with other departments, for clinical, teaching, and research endeavors.
Opportunities for basic science, translational, and clinical research abound. Academic pursuits are encouraged and supported, with career mentoring available at all levels of training and a variety of resources provided by the department and university. The section is also deeply involved in training of five MSK fellows, approximately 70 radiology residents, and medical students.
Applicants should be ABR certified or ABR eligible with either an M.D. or M.D., Ph.D. and fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology, with excellent clinical and procedural skills. Academic appointment will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.
