Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor of Medicine Division of Oncology Section of Bone Marrow Transplant & Leukemia
The Oncology Division in the Department of Medicine of the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking a BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to be appointed at the level of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor.
Evaluate, plan, and manage the treatment of patients with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other malignant hematological diseases. Provide care to patients on the Bone Marrow Transplant inpatient floors as an attending physician. Actively participate in teaching and clinical research programs.
The Oncology Division is devoted to preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. The Section of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Leukemia provides advanced treatment for patients with malignant hematological diseases. Pioneers in developing both allogeneic and autologous bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell transplantation and CAR-T therapy, the clinicians in this section perform over 350 transplants each year. They are working to define better techniques to purify human stem cells, deplete bone marrow of contaminating tumor cells, and develop methods of T cell depletion to minimize graft vs. host disease and maximize graft vs. leukemia.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist
- Successful completion of Internal Medicine Training in an Oncology/Hematology Fellowship.
- Desire to participate in teaching with protected time for clinical research and publication in scientific journals.
