Section Head - NeuroRehabilitation
The Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking applicants for the position of the Head of the NeuroRehabilitation Division. This is a full time faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
Qualified Candidate must be Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and should have a primary interest in the areas of NeuroRehabilitation with focus on stroke, brain, or spinal cord conditions. Additional special interests could include cancer or amputee rehabilitation. Candidate should have previous leadership and administrative experience and should have a proven track record of leadership in teaching, mentorship and clinical care. Active engagement in clinical or basic research is highly desirable. The NeuroRehabilitation Division is the home for the PM&R Residency Program and NeuroRehabilitation fellowship. Head of the Division closely collaborates with the Director of the PM&R Residency Program and physiatric colleagues in the Division of PM&R in the Dept. of Orthopedics at the WUSM.
Head of the NeuroRehabilitation Division oversees and is accountable for clinical (inpatient & outpatient) and administrative activities of the Division and works closely with the Administration of the Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, 96 –bed free standing Rehabilitation hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic leader to develop and implement strategies that will optimize and grow rehabilitation programs and services at the WU Medical Center. There are many clinical research opportunities available in the department.
