EMS Medicine Faculty Position
Washington University EMS, the physician practice for EMS Medicine in the Division of Emergency Medicine, is recruiting a faculty member to join
one of the largest academic EMS groups in the nation. Clinicians treat approximately 90,000 patients per year in the Level 1 Trauma Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The hospital supports a fully accredited four-year EM residency with 12 residents per class. The division’s one-year EMS accredited fellowship accepts three fellows annually.
Candidates will complete agreed upon clinical hours at Barnes-Jewish as well as at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, a suburban satellite facility. EMS faculty serve as the medical control authority for more than two dozen agencies in the region, ranging from First Responder to air ambulance to professional sports team coverage. Ground ambulance services include third service, hospital-based, private and fire-based agencies.
Residency training in emergency medicine and board eligibility or certification from the ABEM.
Fellowship training in EMS Medicine; candidates with substantial EMS experience will also be considered.
