Adult Epilepsy Faculty

The Department of Neurology at Washington University in St. Louis seeks an Academic Epileptologist (MD or MD/PhD) for a position at the Assistant Professor level in the Adult Epilepsy Section. The candidate must be BC/BE and have 1-2 years of fellowship training in adult epilepsy. The Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Epilepsy Center is a level 4 regional epilepsy center (National Association of Epilepsy Centers guidelines) with an 8 bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, and 6 long-term monitoring units for video EEG. The program is active in all aspects of epilepsy care, including comprehensive medical and surgical diagnostic and treatment approaches.  Clinical duties will include sharing coverage of inpatient EEG services, as well as outpatient epilepsy clinic coverage.  Educational responsibilities will involve the teaching and supervision of EEG technologists, medical students, residents, and fellows in the inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as in didactic teaching sessions.  There are also opportunities for clinical research within the Adult Epilepsy Section and collaborations within the Department of Neurology.
