Assistant Professor in the Center for the Investigation of Membrane Excitability Diseases
The CB&P, BME and BMB departments at Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis invite applications for tenure-track faculty positions within CIMED. Primary appointments will be on the tenure-track within or between one of the above departments (http://cellbiology.wustl.edu/, http://bme.wustl.edu/Pages/default.aspx, http://biochem.wustl.edu/), and the successful applicant will be expected to develop a state-of-the-art research program in the broad area of membrane excitability and associated diseases, as well as carry out teaching activities in a related area. CIMED is an Interdepartmental Research Center comprising investigators from basic science, pre-clinical and clinical departments across the university, focused on the regulation of membrane excitability and derangements of excitability associated with inherited and acquired diseases. CIMED (http://cimed.wustl.edu/) is part of Washington University’s BioMed21 initiative, specifically designed to bring basic and clinical researchers together in a multidisciplinary and translational research environment, to unravel fundamental disease mechanisms and to explore novel therapeutic and treatment strategies.
Applications will be considered from individuals holding the Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degrees, and having relevant research experience
